Educational Excursions (EE) is a collective fund &
program set in motion by the Anointed,
Ben Ammi, in 2003 (?) to allow
young adult members of the Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem to travel each
year to a select African (Edenic) country to represent the Chosen First
Fruit and interact with other youth.Under EE, every member of the CFF sets aside a monthly payment
towards the collective fund.
Each year, selected members are delegated to represent the CFF on an
Edenic Excursion on a rotating basis.During such excursions, the delegates are involved in speaking
engagements, radio & television interviews, meetings with other youth
organizations, and educational excursions through the African-Edenic
country.The experience is
richly rewarding for both the CFF delegates and the youth and populace
they interact with.The CFF
delegates inevitably return home with an indelible bond to our beloved
people and our richly beautiful Continent.Strong, enduring friendships are created and hearts are eternally
endeared, as the CFF sojourn Edenic Lands, shining the light from
Jerusalem.The theme of
Edenic Excursions is: “Of Love for our Continent, of Glory for our
Culture, of Faith in our Vision and Confidence in our Ability”.
The first CFF Edenic Excursion took place in
October-November 2004, when 5 CFF were journeyed to Southern Africa. In East London, South Africa, the delegation spoke at a
Department of Education Summit on Moral Regeneration.CFF delegates brought powerful presentations: “Moral Degeneracy –
How did we get into this predicament?” by Uzziyahu HaCohen; “Morality
and Manhood” – by Rofeh Elimelech; “Restoring Divinity to Femininity” –
by Acote Adinah; “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child – Shared
responsibility amongst the family, school and community” – by Acote
Hitsilyah; and “Returning to the Old Paths as Keys to Our Future” – by
Acote Ahedahlyah.
The CFF also sponsored 2 conferences in Johannesburg
and Mogale City, entitled “Buyani eKhaya: African Youth Returning Home
to Edenic Cultures, Morals and Spirituality”. They were interviewed on
national television broadcast (SABC) and also spoke to youth in
Sharpeville, a central site of the 1976 youth uprising.
In addition to their speaking and
youth exchange activities, they also enjoyed educational tours of the
Eastern Cape, Gauteng, Mogale, Venda, and the magnificent Mosi oaTunya
(“the smoke that thunders”) - aka Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
